✏️ 1. What is Editing and Omission?

These are grammar exercises in CBSE Class 10 English that check your grammar accuracy and observation skills.

🟩 A. EDITING (त्रुटि सुधार)

🔹 Meaning:

In Editing, you are given a paragraph with grammatical mistakes (errors in tense, article, preposition, spelling, verb form, etc.).
You must find the error and write the correct word.

📘 Format:

🧠 Steps to Solve:

Read the whole passage once – understand the meaning.
Check grammar errors – like:
- Tense
- Subject–verb agreement
- Articles (a, an, the)
- Prepositions (in, on, at, etc.)
- Spelling
- Wrong word form (is → are, was → were, etc.)
Correct each error one by one.

A boy were playing in the ground. He have a ball in his hand. The ball was full with air.

🟩 B. OMISSION (लोप / छोड़ा हुआ शब्द)

🔹 Meaning:

In Omission, one word is missing in each line.
You must find where the word is missing and write the missing word.

🧠 Steps to Solve:

Read the sentence carefully.
Check grammar connection – where a word is missing (article, preposition, helping verb, etc.)
Write:
- Word before
- Missing word
- Word after

✅ Example 1:

Question:

Children playing park.
They happy to be there.

playing	in	park
They	are	happy

✅ Correct Sentence:
Children playing in park.
They are happy to be there.

✅ Example 2:

Question:

Ravi going school every day.
He studies very careful.

Ravi is going to school every day.
He studies very carefully.
